NOTICE OF APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITTY
The W.F. JATC Committee will be accepting apprenticeship applications 8-12 a.m 1-5 p.m every Wednesday until June.
AGE 17 or older
Education :High school graduate or have G.E.D. Must have passed 1 full year of algebra 1. ( Please bring transcript showing proof)
Valid drivers licence
Each applicant who meets all basic requirements will be interviewed by the committee. The interviews will consider reliability, interest,attitude,judgement, cooperativeness, as well as other personal traits. All applicants will be received without regard to race, color, religion ,national origin or sex.
Each applicant must meet all basic requirements to be eligible for interview. Apprentices will be selected in order of their ranking results from the interview.
Individuals who are currently employed with an electrical contractor that is NOT signatory to the I.B.E.W agreement may qualify for direct entry into the IBEW/ NECA Program provided they are among at least 50 percent of the electrical of the electrical workers employed are with there employer who sign representation cards with the Local Union. Those working in the electrical industry and able to document they have a minimum 4,000 hours on the job experience working in the electrical construction trade to qualify for interview. Those having no experience or less than 4,000 hours experience will qualify provided they meet the basic requirements.
If selected into the program each applicant must pass a drug test.
