Once you put your effects in a loop/insert you can then program any configuration you want. If you use 1-4 for your normal effects you can use 5-8 for your amp inserts and have your time based effects where they should be. You can also control your amp channels. Programming is easy and there are plenty of tutorials on Youtube.
